mail not display in mailbox

Postby gordontin » Mon Apr 23, 2007 1:20 pm

Dear scalix

scalix v11.0.0
Redhat As4
IE

When user open the mailbox, he can see there are no of mails in mailbox but it can't display in SWA. He is standard user.
After i recreate his account, the problem is solved.

I have seem 7 - 8 users with the same problem.
Is it caused by indexer.

How can i solve this problem??

have been able to fix this issue by doing the following:

Log in as root on the scalix server.

Type :
Code:
omshowu -n "Username" -f

Near the bottom is a line called: User Folder. Should be something like: ~/user/g00003h/00000v8:1

We then want to change to the following directory depending on the previous result:
Code:
cd /var/opt/scalix/??/s/user/g00003h
The ?? is the two letter designation of your server (first letter and last letter of the machine name)

In this directory there is a directory called imap-cache. Go into this directory and rm -rf all the files in it. This deletes the IMAP cache.

I have also been told that this is fixed in 11.0.3, so you might want to upgrade if you can.

Hope this works for you.

I just found that your solution address the same issue in 11.0.3. How is it that a) you found this solution and b) that IMAP some how corrupts or interferes with SWA?

gordontin,

I have been having this same issue for the last two scalix upgrades ( yes, I am currently on the 11.0.3 version ). Every single time I setup a new user, and import their pst file, they cannot login using SWA until I clear the imap-cache folder. This is getting soooo old. I am thinking about writing a script to blow away all the imap-cache folders whenever I run it. I just haven't had time to do it yet.

PS. I sure hope this gets fixed in the next release.
