After upgrading to scalix 10.0.1 (from 9.4.2) the ~scalix/ directory grows very fast. In the old installation the size of ~scalix was about 7 GB. Now after a few days the size is about 22 GB. In the directory ~/Scalix/temp are 15 GB of data. Is it save to delete the content of ~/Scalix/temp and how can I configure the size of this directory?

In the ~scalix/temp directory some .ofd-files form one user. The sizes of the files are 2 GB. This user uses Oulook offline folders. His mailbox has a size of 3.2 GB. It seems that these files will be generated by each Outlook start. Can I delete the content of this folder? How can I fix this?

Well it seems this is
by design. I want to repeat my plea for a program that downsizes migrated email stores by converting the old messages.

In my case the problem was the offline synchronisation of the user’s mailbox. I’ve created a new outlook profile without offline folders and no .ofd files in the ~scalix/temp directory.
@Scalix Support: Is it a problem to synchronise a 3.2 GB mailbox with Scalix or have we a corrupt outlook profile?

Yes, there is indeed. Currently we are limited to a 2GB OFS size limit. We are looking to remove this in the future, but that is is the current state. With mailbox caching to arrive in due time, this will also be obsoleted I hear.

Sascha.
