Message rules

Postby leigh » Tue Feb 07, 2006 11:44 pm

Hi All,
I have a couple of questions regarding message rules:
1. Is it possible to set up enterprise-wide rules which will be automatically put on every new mail account? We want to use the same rules foreverybody by default, but don't want to set them all up individually.
2. In what order are the rules processed? ie If I have the following rules set:

Move mail to the "probably spam" folder if the header contains "X-Spam-Level: ****"
Move mail to the "maybe spam" folder if the header contains "X-Spam-Level: ***"

Any mail which matches the second rule will also match the first, but not the other way around. Is there any way to make sure the rules are matched in a particular order?

The Scalix Admin Resource Kit (in the Scalix tarball) contains a script called "sxaa" that modifies the Auto Action file on the server side.

Believe this is good example code on how to set things up programmatically. In addition, the version of the Script that comes with Scalix 10 will allow for the rules that are wanted here to be setup, so I believe this can be done easily here.
