Exporting autoaction rules

Postby chrish01 » Fri Feb 03, 2006 3:09 pm

When moving a user to a second mailnode, we are using the omcpoutu and omcpinu. All of my tests show that this does not export/import user autoactions. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Christian,

In the user's mailbox directory there is a file called 000003d. This is the rules file. Copy that from the old mailbox directory to the new.

To find the user's mailbox directory use

Code: Select all

omshowu -n "user name/mailnode" -G

In the output you will see

User Folder : ~/user/g000037/00000v8:1

In this case the user folder is /var/opt/scalix/user/g000037.

Regards,
Don

Hi Christian,

In addition to the '000003d' file there are some other files that will need to be copied if present on the original system. These files contain additional auto-action data (for example auto-reply text).

These files (if present) are in the range of 000003e..000003g and typically have an extension, for example: 000003g.501

This store/restore deficiency will be fixed in a future release.

Regards - Richard

Incorrect command

This doesn't show the folder:
omshowu -n "user name/mailnode" -G

This does:
omshowu -n "user name/mailnode" -f
