Documentation of WebDAV/CalDAV

Postby GS » Wed May 07, 2008 12:14 pm

Hi!
I read a lot about WebDAV and CalDAV interfaces of Scalix.
Where do I find documentation about these interfaces?
In the API documentation 11.3 I only find a REST based interface.
Thanks.

Hi,
there's an entry in the Scalix Wiki that describes things well enough that we got it to work: :D
http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... -01-CALDAV

Important if you plan to use shared calendars: due to a bug in Scalix 11.3, you have to open the shared calenders in SWA first. In particular, no IMAP access is allowed before this is done.

Hi,
but nvehommes, the link you give is only for client configuration.
Me too, I ask where to find documentation and/or samples of how to use CalDAV to interact with Scalix mailboxes and calendars.

Someone please help,
thanks

Marcello,

to start you may just want to point your browser at http://<scalixserver>/api/dav, log in with a valid Scalix user account and have a look at the tree.

The reason CalDAV is not documented inside Scalix is that it's an open standard. Check RFC4791 for a start, also google for the current CalDAV Schedule IETF draft document, written by Cyrus Daboo, which will become another RFC at some point, that we have implemented on a draft level.

Cheers,
Florian.
