I do an offline backup nightly and when Scalix restarts, the Item Structure Service doesn’t start. Why?

By default, the ISS is "stopped" after startup.
1) To start this service all the time, enter:
omsetsvc -a iss Y
2) The next time you omshut/omrc, do an omstat -a and you'll notice that the ISS is "Started".
