How can I scan all existing scalix mail boxes for virus?

One other small thought. How many users doe you have on your system?

If you have a large number of users you may need to ajust for the number of simultaneosly open files

/etc/sysconfig/scalix containes KERNEL_MIN_file_max=8192

this figure should be approx 45 x the number of users on your system

May be left field but worth a crack
