Program to conect to Scalix

Hi to all

I search a program to connect to Scalix calendar in writing mode. I tried Sunbrid, Lighning, but is very testing. Is there any version different of Sunbird, Lighning, Evolution or Scalix webmail to connect with Calendar of Public Folders or user calendar?

Yes, such application exists, it's called the *scalix connector*, and it can be downloaded from here: http://www.scalix.com/community/downloads/index.php
Fill in your information and carry on to the 'I AGREE" button. You don't have download the whole server part, only the connector. They offer versions for Windows/Outlook and Evolution. There is nothing that will work with Thunderbird yet, or anything on the MAC environment for that matter.

This connector I know it, but in my company they use Thunderbird like mail client. I would like to know if some other client exists.

Not yet, but there is a lot of hope for something along those lines, and some effort by a small group of individuals to develop a solution. This would be great.

Hi Oscar,

There is a solution that is very close, it's called Funambol and is a SyncML server. There is an extension for Thunderbird and Sunbird (Mozilla Calendar) that will connect to Funambol, and I am currently writing a connector that allows Funambol to get the data from Scalix.

At the moment I have it reading the data from Scalix (including quick updates for new/updated calendar items since the last sync) and am working on write support today.

Once that is done I will duplicate the code needed to get contacts and the connector will be good to go
