A/D plug-in with Windows 2003 R2 64 Bit

Postby carlPjohnson » Wed Dec 13, 2006 12:11 pm

A few months ago when we deployed v10 we also installed and are using active directory for auth, etc. During this process we noticed that the active directory plugin does not work with Windows 2003 R2 running on a 64bit machine, any ideas why, or is this unsupport (could not find in the docs/bugzilla that it was/wasn't). In the meantime we do have a few 32bit machines around so we admin from there but I would think with the push for 64bit O/S upgrades lately that this should/would have been supported. Thanks for your input.

If you install C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\adminpak.msi, which basically reinstalls the
AD tools, the extensions do register, at least it's a workaround.

This method does not work in my AD. Any other alternatives available?...:(...
I can not see "Scalix Administration" in MMC Snap-in and the scalix extension in "Active Directory Users and Computers"

OS: Windows 2003 x64 R2 (English OS with Traditional Chinese language pack)
