Suggestion -- A Way to Extend SWA with Simple Plugins?

I've discussed this before on the recent Live Demo this Tuesday, but I've spoken with my managers about rolling out Scalix department-wide. While they are interested, they have seen a few shortcomings with the product that they will probably want addressed.

Primarily they would like a way for a users quota/usage information to be displayed from within SWA. While I quite understand if there is no current way to do this, is such a thing on the roadmap for future versions (2007 perhaps?).

At a minimum, I could see something like this being done with an addition to SWA's menus (ala Tools -> Extensions -> View Quota Information), with a script (Java, PHP, Perl, whatever language/mechanism is easiest for you to add support for) that registers itself to SWA.

I could then write something to query 'omlimit' and then pass that information on to the user.

This is one of 3 issues that I'm currently trying to find a workaround for in the current version of Scalix, as I am hoping to roll this out sometime in 1Q 2007. (In case you are curious, the other two issues were: Group level quotas and Group/PDL visibility restrictions).

Thanks for developing such a wonderful product and keeping with the Open Source model while doing it. I wish you all the best.
