I set up my Scalix server to sync with my LDAP server, as per the following 2 wikis:

Things were working great, and I have 18 users in my LDAP that sync with Scalix. Adding new users works fine, as long as i put the correct information into the OpenLDAP server.
However, my main LDAP server got trashed, due to me fiddling with it, and I have had to redo my LDAP server strategy. I was able to export all my users from server1 before it got into serious trouble. i have now set up server2 with OpenLDAP, and imported the users. I have one or two other applications that authenticate to OpenLDAP, so i made the necessary changes to point it to my new server, i.e. server2, and authentication worked well.
However, i have changed the scalix omldapsync to point to new server, i.e. server2 as per the wikis above, i.e. everywhere i had server1, i replaced with server2. the problem is that I now get the following error:

It then tries to add the users, but they already exist. in some cases it tries to delete all 18 users then put them back in.
this is my production mail server!! i cannot delete the users and risk losing all the mails, so what can i do to change this error message, to accept what it sees in the LDAP server as the same as in the SCALIX ldap?
Or will i have to go the route of exporting/backing up the mail. deleting the users, then re-creating, etc.
help will be greatly appreciated.
