Umlaute Lightning [Fixed]

Postby ebhannes » Wed Feb 10, 2010 7:22 am

Hi there,

Scalix version. 11.4.6
OS: SLES 10.2
Client: Thunderbird 3.01
Calendar: Lighnting 1.01pre

When composing a new apppointment umlaute change to question marks. There was no corresponding action (at least which i'm aware of!) which affected this. I had updated afterwards from 11.4.4 to 11.4.6 without any problem, choosing german locale like the any other upgrading before, but with no success related to this problem. Content type differs from one appointment to another (US-ASCII, UTF-8, ISO-8859-1). The difference between an appointment with umlauts and one with broken display:
1. Subject: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Th=FCringen?=
...
--2_0_208_11248e7MHTML_=_01
Content-Type: text/calendar;
charset="UTF-8";
method=PUBLISH;
name="0ffdc56f-29e2-48b3-98c5-27a3e360134c.ics"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

2. Subject: Th??ringen
...
--scalix-part-004ff6e4d8=_03
Content-Type: text/calendar;
charset="UTF-8";
method=PUBLISH;
name="meeting.ics"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

it doesn't depend on the client version. i tested it with Thunderbird 3.01 + Lightning 1.01pre and Thunderbird 2.023 + Lightning 0.9
Umlauts are shown correct when it's a local calendar or task folder. SWA and Outlook work perfect.
I think it's a scalix issue. Can anyone help me out?

Thank in advance
Flep

Does anyone experience such problems with thunderbird?
I have tried any of the given charsets by Thunderbird, but it doesn't affect the output. Probably because there is no string in front of the subject like on older entries?
Maybe it's not clear enough: about two weeks before i've done the update to 11.6 there is the last appointment which shows umlauts correct. Looks like it's not a scalix issue, but local calendars are correct and insert some =?ISO-8859-1?Q?-string in front of the subject. What is or should be responsible for this string?

really need your helpful suggestions
