Hi,

i tried many times to display my calendar on the iPhone with the NEW iPhone CALDAV. But it won't work.
URL:
http://<servername>/api/dav/Calendars/Users/<user@domain>/Calendar

It works with the "RemoteCal" APP but not with the new feature in the "Mail" APP.

Any ideas?
Cheers
T

I would open a bug in bugzilla if you want development to look at it...

I have submitted https://bugzilla.scalix.com/show_bug.cgi?id=20141 to track this issue, which I am seeing on my own iPhone.

It isn't clear to me why the iPhone 3.0 CalDAV client isn't working with Scalix CalDAV. The software sends one request for information and I believe we send a reasonable response but the iPhone does not appear to send any further requests to the CalDAV server.

Hi Gren,

i tried it with the RemoteCal App. And it works. Maybe the same Startdate / Enddate problem with Outlook (PC Sync iTunes <> IPhone over Outlook Connector)?

Cheers

Looks like folks over on the Zimbra forum are having some issues too, might be more of an Apple issue?

I also tried to connect my iPhone with Scalix 11.4.5 and it doesn't work. I look in the tomcat log (scalix-api.log, with debug) and found two lines which say unknown property:

Code: Select all

2009-08-19 14:27:45,768 DEBUG [WebDAVProperty.fromString:110] unknown property dropbox-home-URL
2009-08-19 14:27:45,769 DEBUG [WebDAVProperty.fromString:110] unknown property notifications-URL

I think that the both unknown WebDAVProperties are the problem? Is someone working it?

Hi,

This is just one of the developers saying that I'm watching this thread and am aware of the issue.

As an iPhone user, I am am also affected by it - although, ActiveSync support has eliminated my personal need to have this working. Unfortunately, it hasn't risen near the top of our todo list yet, so I have only had a couple of personal attempts at looking at the root cause of the problem - without luck so far.
I hope that the lack of those 2 properties is not the root cause - as they are both Apple specific extensions to CalDAV. We might implement them (particularly the drop-box one) at some point - but that would involve a fair chunk of work.

Regards,
Gren.

I have gotten it (iPod Touch) to work. OS version 3.1.1 and it help that I set the account to fetch new data in order to force the first sync.

It works great. I can create new entries, edit existing, and of course delete. I am quite pleased. The only issue I have is that I cannot exclude or show calendars of my choosing.

I've just upgraded my iPhone software to version 3.1 and I can also see my calendars, add an appointment, modify it and delete it. All looking good so far.

Thank you Apple!

Gren.
