openldap administration: still need SAC to create accounts?

Postby potatoinmiri » Sun Feb 08, 2009 9:44 pm

Dear friends,

Upon setting up scalix administration with openldap. Does it mean the openldap becomes an option for me to administers my acocunts BUT new accounts are still required to be created within SCALIX either with SAC or command line?
Which means although with openldap setup integrate with scalix, i still cannot create new mail accounts simply from openldap?

I ask this coz i printed a documents which stated yes as above, but that document was 2004, maybe the new update scalix enterprise version can support creating mails form openldap??

thanks for reading my query

You can create accounts from OpenLDAP. You would need to add the ScalixUserClass objectClass to the user & set appropriate parameters. Then run omldapsync for the changes to be noticed by Scalix and user account created. See:
