Problems with Notifylink

Postby dpsnoc » Wed Feb 04, 2009 12:40 pm

Probably this is an easy question, but i can't seem to get the answer from scalix support and we are under the gun, sooooo.....

Moved to a new scalix server due to issues.
new scalix server is in a different subnet from the machine running notifylink, so notifylink sees the scalix server as a public address.

i can send smtp from the NL server to internal addresses on the scalix server
if i try to send to an external address it returns 550 Denied due to spam list.

we tried adding relay allow line for the public address

help!

added to relay allo in smtpd config
restart smtp relay
looks like it works now.

Denied due to spam list is pretty easy to troubleshoot, once you know what the error actually means.

Use the command :

omshowlog -p 90 -s smtpd -l 13

You'll see lines that say something along the lines of "a message from xxx@yyy.com from ip address qqq.www.eee.rrr was rejected" That'll be the IP you need to authorize in smtpd.cfg.

Glad yours is working, I just added this for anyone else that might see this thread and want the help.
