Lam Scalix Plugin

Postby DBGTMaster » Mon May 26, 2008 3:00 am

Hello Community,

There is a LAM (ldap account mananger) plugin for the scalix:

http://www.rg-se.de/scalix/index.htm

"With the plugin for the LDAP Account Mananger users and groups can be administered comfortably centrally in the OpenLDAP directory of the data server. So do you do not have duplicate work because changes on users and groups in OpenLDAP need not be changed on the Scalix server."

For more informations, click on the link :)

Hi

The LDAP account manager for Scalix is called the SAC. It can be found at

http://yourserver/sac

It can also be managed from the command line via commands such as

omaddu, ommodu
and for directories
ommodent etc pretty flexable

If you wish to manage your Scalix directory you can do this via OpenLDAP, Fedory Directory Server, Sun LDAP management or any other standards based directory server, even MS Active directory. If you do this you can use any 3rd party tool to manage the external directory you want.
