Troubles with Active Directory Authentication [CLOSED]

Damn SuSE SLES 9's heimdal packages has compatibilities with kerberos and SSO with Microsoft Active Directory KDC.

Installed RHEL4 (with the krb5-libs package) and everything works like a charm!

Thanks Jim Mullady for all the email support!!

Glad to hear that everything works for you.

Just for completeness, the issue with Heimdal-kerberos in SLES9 is actually listed as a known issue and limitation in the Release Notes.

Fortunately for all SLES-lovers, Novell/SuSE have decided to move away from Heimdal Kerberos for SLES10. SLES10 comes with MIT Kerberos and should also work flawlessly. We will support SLES10 in upcoming Scalix 11, currently in Beta.

Cheers,
Florian.
