I'm using iCal 3.0.3 from Leopard 10.5.3 and have followed the wiki page for setting up CalDAV access from Scalix 11.4.0. Other than iCal rejecting the https://domain.name/api/dav/Principals/ ... omain.name URL if you have a trailing "/" on it (seems to be a bug in iCal from what I've read online), it was able to successfully connect to the Calenders and see ALL my previous appointments (added from webmail.)
(The only other issue I did run into with iCal was with SSL access using self-signed certificates, but I was able to work around the by issuing a free cacert.org cert then importing their CA Root certificate into the key chain in case anyone else runs into same problem.)
The issue I'm running into now is when I'm trying to create a new appointment from iCal. If pops up an error with the following message in it:
Request Error
Request for "New Event" in "Calendar" in account "my.domain.name" failed.
The server responded with
"HTTP/1.1 501 Method Not Implemented"
to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
I'm really stuck on this one and don't know how to debug it (googled it and there's nothing around "501 Method Not Implemented" only different errors.) Has anyone seen this before?
I should note that I'm able to create new calenders from within iCal and they show up in webmail after they're created. So it appears that at least it's not a permissions problem. The problem only shows up when new events are created.
I've got everything else working with Entourage and now I'm down to just iCal integration for Mac support. Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Eric
