SpamAssassin and ClamAV guides?

Postby Dimitriy » Sun Aug 12, 2007 9:01 pm

Hi,

Are there guides on installing Spam Assassin and ClamAV for Scalix running off Fedora Core 5?

I was able to find some detailing the installation on a Suse box but I believe its different for Fedora.

Thanks for help,
Dimitriy

For SpamAssassin I used the guide found here:

http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... amAssassin

-------- Be sure to use the guide for your Scalix version (I was trying the Scalix 10 settings on a Scalix 11 server;didnt work)

HOWEVER, it failed to mention one key issue. There is a bug in the a stock Fedora Core 5 installation (of spamd) that basically causes SpamAssassin to fail. The bug info is found here:
http://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/s ... gi?id=4696

PLEASE UPDATE THE WIKI and Documentation to state this bug. It seems to have caused a number of people problems.

Solution
= Update SpamAssassin (Go ahead update the whole damn system).

ClamAV is next. I'll see what I can find.
