Funambol/Scalix connector

any update on the funambol scalix connector? I read on the wiki that there was an alpha version available sometimes in november last year. I think this would be a really nice feature to the scalix server.

Is there any way that I can synchronize my scalix account (email, calendar, contacts) with my mobile device through a 3G connection. I am using the community edition of scalix and this is becoming a must have feature for me.

I would like to ask if there are any solutions available or plans in the works that would make mobile synchronization possible.

Scalix is still working on a Funambol connector, but you can use the NotifyLink connector now. Just doesn't support all devices (like the Symbian ones).

I find it odd to install and run a Windows Server OS in order to be able to sync to mobile devices, when I'm trying to avoid Windows and run Scalix on Linux instead. When I buy a Windows SBS to install notify on, I get Exchange for free.

Hi,

If you look at another thread a few down you'll see that for the last week and a half I've been writing my own connector that will be released as open source.

We're getting very close to a release of that (this week), there have been a few issues with converting between calendar formats that I've now ironed out.

Calendar syncing is working (both ways, with merges and updates), I'm currently working on contacts.

If you'd like to become a tester please PM me with details about your setup (devices to sync with and scalix version) and I'll get a test version across to you when complete.
