Integration with a second (non-scalix) mailserver

Postby kirberich » Wed May 23, 2007 9:18 am

The company I work for uses mailboxes on our ISP's server. Now we want to use all the nice features of scalix on a local scalix mailserver.

However, I want to take advantage of the high availability of the ISP instead of having to worry about my server always being able to recieve mail, so what I need to do is get the scalix server to download mail from the ISP.

If I didn't use scalix I would just use fetchmail to accomplish that.

So, is there a possibility to get scalix to fetch mails from a remote pop/imap server and make them available through scalix?

Any advice would be highly welcome, I am utterly lost.

Ok my problem disappeared with the idea to just forward the mails to the local mail boxes.

Well you can either forward it or simply use fetchmail to fetch and send it to Scalix... :P
