MailWasher does not scan inbound!

Postby bharris » Tue Jan 02, 2007 5:23 pm

I recently installed Scalix on my fedora 5 machine, scalix works great and I love it! The problem is I installed MailWasher Server for spam filtering. It scans the emails I send, but it doesn't scan any emails that are inbound. I don't know what to do. I know it doesn't scan inbound, because it doesn't show up in mail washer server that it scanned it, and i blacklisted another email address I have from comcast, but it still got to my account on Scalix. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks everyone!

did you set the SMTPFILTER=TRUE option in smtpd.cfg?

Yes, I made sure that was set.

# NB Authenticated RELAYs are always allowed
SMTPFILTER=TRUE
RELAY accept 127.0.0.1
RELAY accept %LOCALDOMAIN%
RELAY Log_Reject ALL

what is the full pathname of the file that you modified? This looks like a template as the %LOCALDOMAIN% variable has not been replaced.

wrong.

should be /var/opt/scalix/<instance>/s/sys/smtpd.cfg (scalix 11)
or
/var/opt/scalix/sys/smtpd.cfg (scalix 10)

you modified the template file.

Cheers,
