Spamassassin - How to mark as "Not Spam"

Postby divisionbyzero » Mon Sep 04, 2006 9:03 pm

Hello everyone,

I've integrated amavisd-new, clamav, and spamassassin. I've tested it and it's been working great already.

However, there are some emails which are legitimate but are otherwise marked as "Spam." Is there some way in Scalix Web Mail (or through Outlook or maybe through the Scalix/Spamassassin configuration files) as to how I can somehow mark those legitimate mails as "Not Spam" just like in Yahoo! Mail or GMail?

What you need to do is to configure the Bayesian filter in Spamassassin, so it can learn from its mistakes. You need to then feed it both spam (mails it incorrectly marked as not spam) and ham (mails it incorrectly marked as spam). There's a thread on the forum detailing ways of doing this.

Alternatively you can adjust the weights of the rules in Spamassassin, so some rules are not regarded as quite as important as others.
