Scalix authentication against Active Directory

Postby stoilis » Thu May 25, 2006 8:54 am

This may sound too simple, but I am unable to find information on how to enable Scalix to allow user authentication against an Active Directory.

A solution I found required me to change the AD schema, something which I am not willing to do. Isn't there a more subtle way?

If there is any documentation I missed, I would appreciate if someone pointed me to the right direction.

Alternatively, if scalix supported authentication from PAM, I could probably authenticate against anything. Again, is there a document I missed?

Hi,

everything you need to know can be found in the Knowledgebase.

You authenticate against AD using Kerberos. PAM is possible, as well.

Should you have any questions after reading the docs in the KB, please come back.

Cheers,

Sascha.
