disparity between SAC and omshowpdln

So, I've got a group called "External Users" for Internet users. When I look at the members in SAC, I see that not all Internet users are members, but when I run omshowpdln -l External, all expected members are listed. When I try to add one of the users in SAC (to make it appear correct), I get an error that the group cannot be modified. When I try to add the same user via omaddpdln, I get an error saying that person is already a member. Why isn't SAC showing the correct list?

Hi,

SAC can only handle members which have explicit entries in the directory, and 'cross-reference' is used (meaning the member entries are reference the Group via the PARENT-DL attribute). So if omaddpdln has been used to manage the group using options or features that SAC does not support, then such issues may result.

The workaround for this is to avoid using SAC and omaddpdln on the same Group, use one or the other but not both.

Regards,
Danny
