New server migration

Hi all,

I have inherited a network that has not been maintained for some time. We are running Scalix 8 and I want to get this upgraded to at least v10. Heres the steps I have taken so far:

Installed RHEL4 on new hardware using the same hostname and ip address, configured sendmail, copied /var/opt/scalix to new server, removed old server, installed Scalix v9.4 and set to use "old" message store; changed fqdn using sxmodfqdn.

This appears to have gone smoothly - I can access webmail and SAC; omshowu displays complete list of mail users; The problem I have is that while I can access SAC it does not display all of my users - 7 do not appear. They definitely exist as I can see them via omshowu and I can even login to the mailboxes using Outlook and webmail.

Is this a bug in 9.4? If so is my best bet to install v10 or have I missed something?

If you have more than 100 users, the list returned will be limited to 100 by default. If you look in SAC, there is a setting where you can change that to be higher, but it'll go back to 100 after each upgrade.

If you search for the users by name, it will still list them.

Check that the hostname given for them is correct.

omsearch -e S=surname/G=firstname -m G/S/HOST-FQDN

if not, you can edit this with ommodent

Thanks for the reply!!

Hostname seems OK - checked for missing user and a user that appears and the FQDN looks good.

BTW have already run:

omshowu -n "Surname" -f

and

omsearch -e s=surname -m @all-attr@ and nothing seems out of place???

Cue spooky music
