The User Information Could Not Be Saved

We've just loaded the latest version of Scalix Community Edition for Fedora Core 4.

I've created an Enterprise user that has 12 alias's under SAC.

The initial create went fine but now I can't edit this user at all. I can't delete any of the aliases or make any other changes without getting the popup "The User Information Could Not Be Saved".

All other users can be modified without problem.

under /var/opt/scalix/logs/fatal there are a number of entries:

I could just delete and re-create this user (with fewer aliases). Is there something we're doing wrong?

As a matter of fact, there is no direct limitation on the number of aliases you can create for one use. Indirectly, it can be limited, though. The data structure in the Scalix Directory in which all the aliases must be stored has a size of 512 Bytes, i.e. all the aliases together cannot be longer than that.

I believe you ran against that limit and it caused some problems. Please limit yourself in the number of aliases here. If you need more, just create a PDL/group with that one user as the only member and add the Internet addresses/aliases to that PDL.

I'll forward this to our SAC team, maybe we can make the behaviour a bit more friendly in a future version.

Thx,
Florian.

Thanks.

Not a problem. I deleted the user and recreated with few aliases. We have six domains and this user had alias's for each domain along with webmaster for each, etc. Now I'm using the PDL's more and the alias's less.
