I changed the Hostname - no users or groups in sac

Postby Stupid » Thu Aug 24, 2006 2:55 am

Hi,
As you have guessed I changed the hostname and IP. I didn't even read anything about this before I did it. I can be so stupid.
At first I couldn't get into the webmail or SAC, I got that fixed. I can log in to both as any of the relevant users, but in SAC none of my users or groups show up. I only have one group and 4 users. The group is used to send emails on to an online blackberry account, but it stopped working to. Active users shows all the users who are logged in, but they aren't in the users list.
I don't know what info you'll need to help me, so here goes.
old hostname scalix.north.wda.net
new hostname scalix.ondemand.com.au

I think it has something to do with the admin groups still showing the old hostname, but I haven't got a clue how to fix it. I've been through the forum for hours trying things other people have done.

I've run

Code: Select all

sxmodfqdn -o scalix.north.wda.net -n scalix.ondemand.com.au

I am very new to both Linux and Scalix, so go easy on me.

Thanks in advance

Problem solved

I managed to find the culprit, OMHOSTNAME in /opt/scalix/global/config was still pointing to the old FQDN. I must have missed this in the admin guide.

Thanks,

Stu
