Scalix CLI access

Postby viking » Thu Aug 10, 2006 9:31 am

Hi there,

I saw a post before that someone could not access the CLI from Scalix. They direct him to a different forum.

I have the same problem running Suse 10.0.

I cannot access the Scalix CLI. I get "command not found".

When I do su sxadmin and try to run a command it says "permission denied".
I don't know if this is the rught way to access the Scalix CLI and can't find anything about in the documentation.

Please help

can you login to your system as "root" and simply try a command such as "omstat -s"?

If that doesn't work, something is probably wrong with your PATH variable setup or some very basic system/shell configuration.

Scalix CLI commands are just normal Unix commands installed with the Server Instlall.

Cheers,
Florian.

Thanks for the fast reply.

It seems to be working now.
I tried this before and it didn't work so I did a reboot.
Probably that solved the problem.

Thanks

Hi.

It probably wasn't the reboot, but the relogin that happened as part of the reboot. the scalix installer places some PATH settings into the users environment so that the scalix-specific commands are found. this setting only takes effect once the admin user logs in again.

great that it works for you now,
Florian.
