Changing the Authentication ID For User

I don't know if this is an admin question - but what I have found is I have several users with the login of firstname.surname@domain.com and I have logged in on the admin page and changed the Authentication ID to firstname.surname but when I try to login I still have to enter
firstname.surname@domain.com as it hasn't picked up the change.

I am quite new to Linux and Scalix so if you need any more information please let me know thanks

I have just rebooted the Linux box - and now the authentication works but I have noticed that the login names are case sensitive e.g. User.Name logs in o.k but user.name does not is there anyway that this can be changed. Thanks

Hi,

depending on the client, users can already login with multiple login names.

SAC: MUST use Authentication ID, exactly as-is

SWA, Outlook: Can use authentication ID (case sensitive), lastname, firstname lastname, display name, any eMail address. None of them is case sensitive

However, the request to make the login name not case-sensitive is pretty common and we're planning to change this for a future release.
