Forwarding (sent and received)

Postby scalixready » Tue Feb 02, 2010 3:37 pm

Hi,

I just had a request from a user to set up some of the emails so that every time somebody sends/receives an email from their accounts, a copy of the email sent or received is forwarded to user@example.com. So basically, all the email activity should be copied to this email address.

Is this possible by scalix please?

Scalix has an archiving feature if that's what you are looking for, but is unfortunately a whole system feature. Archiving is enabled by modifying /var/opt/scalix/xx/s/sys/general.cfg file by modifying the following line:

ARCHIVE=bcc:archive@bob.com

This change is not dynamic - Scalix must be restarted for the change to take effect.

You dont need to restart Scalix to pick up the config change. Restarting the "Service Router" and the Archive is enough.

11.5 will see a lot of improvements for the archiver. One of them is the ability to configure archiving per user.

But we should mention that Archiving is an Enterprise feature and not available in the community edition.
