Community Edition Recovery Process?

I noticed when comparing editions that recovery is not possible for the Community Edition, however when I made the recovery option visible to a premium user, the recovery option was there, albeit empty. My question is simple: Is there a recovery process for deleted mail if using the Community Edition without having to restore an entire mailbox from a backup?

Well ... schmoe90's comment was a bit of an understatement.

What you can do is what was done in versions of Scalix before this feature was available. Please note that this is from memory, so I may have some things out of order:

1) Have ISS (Item Structure Server) activated beforehand
2) Roll the ISS logs forward (backwards?) to the point the deletion was made (or just before)
3) Find the data files removed
4) Restore the specific named files from the backup medium
5) Relink them back into the mailstore
