SAC - previously working https login - currently down

Postby momo2xlc » Mon Jul 07, 2008 2:42 am

Hello community geeks,

this is Thomas I´m running scalix 11.4.0.11 on centos 5 everything works fine (for a month) but since one week I can`t login into SAC via https (https://admin@FQDN/sac/ - Server not reachable)- ssl is not configured. If I try login via http (http://admin@FQDN/sac/ ) the SAC - login screen open but I´cant login because (imho) the http login is disabled.

I´ve tryed to set https via http://admin@FQDN:443/sac/ - result: "requested url not found"

Apache welcome page works on http but not on https.

crawling the documention and forum was´nt very helpfull because the 11.4 is al little different from the earlier ones and I'am not the apache/tomcat poweruser.

my questions: whats wrong or how can I get sac http access ?

THX

The decision to use http:// or https:// or the redirection from one to the other is not made by the Scalix configuration. In fact it's beyond even its intall script. This is something the administrator of the OS does, by editing apache/tomcat config files by hand.

Have you installed some security patches of OS apach/tomcat upgrades to the system recently? They may have messed things up a bit.

Have you restarted scalix-tomcat or apache services, or even rebooted the server? that may solve it.

I assumed that it will be the Apache/Tomcat config but I didn´t find it yet..

Have you installed some security patches
Yes of course this maybe the reason

restart / reboot didn´t solve the Problem - but giving a user administrativ priviliges works fine ;)
