Scalix eating all diskspace.

Postby mavetju » Sat Jan 14, 2006 4:52 am

I'm running Scalix 9.4.0.9 (omvers output), and last friday Scalix suddenly started to eat all diskspace:

[13-01-2006 17:53:38] SERVICE ALERT: boxter;Free Space - /;CRITICAL;HARD;3;DISK CRITICAL [0 kB (0%) free on /dev/hda2]
[13-01-2006 17:43:48] SERVICE ALERT: boxter;Free Space - /;WARNING;HARD;3;DISK WARNING [12209024 kB (16%) free on /dev/hda2]
[13-01-2006 17:42:48] SERVICE ALERT: boxter;Free Space - /;WARNING;SOFT;2;DISK WARNING [13707576 kB (18%) free on /dev/hda2]
[13-01-2006 17:41:38] SERVICE ALERT: boxter;Free Space - /;WARNING;SOFT;1;DISK WARNING [15119968 kB (20%) free on /dev/hda2]

That went in a fast tempo. I always wanted to move the database off to a new disk, so I moved /var/opt to a new 250Gb disk with enough diskspace, and now:

/dev/hdc 241269640 218893528 10120244 96% /mnt/hdc

yes it is full again.

I have no idea what to look for, no idea what to inspect. If somebody knows a hint I will be very happy.

With the help of Judy of Customtech Australia... It was a bouncing email which got bounced and bounced between two systems and suddenly played havoc.

For Forum readers....

This has been resolved. There was a looping message with a 2gig attachment causing the space problem.
