Unable to change the Country in SAC?

Postby kjakkanen » Thu Dec 21, 2006 10:17 am

I noticed that I cannot change the Country-value for any of our email accounts via SAC, it just errors "The changes could not be saved".

How to handle?

Thanks,
Kimmo

Hi,

Have a look for any relevant error logged in scalix-res.log or scalix-caa.log under tomcat. Post them if necessary plus the version of Scalix. Also state which language you were trying to select.

Danny

Cannot change country via SAC

I found this error in scalix-res.log that re-occurs when I try to change the Country:

There was nothing in caa.log. Version of Scalix is 10.0.1.21.
It doesn't matter what language I try to select, same happens
with all of them (except of course the one that was already
selected).

Is this "Entry is not unique in the Directory" somehow related to aliases or what?

PS. Please note that I've replaced the Name- etc. fields with generic ones.

Thanks,
Kimmo

Hi,

It would appear that in your SYSTEM directory you have more than one match for "G=Firstname/S=Lastname/OU1=mail1/OU2=CompanyX". What I expected to see (but did not see it) is that the common name (CN=xyz) should also be specified. May be you have similar users with different CN in your system.

If this is a one off requirement to change the language, try using ommodu command (read the man page for ommodu) instead of SAC for this operation. If you want to do this in SAC then try giving the similar users slightly different Firstname as a workaround.

Danny

Hi,

Thanks for the info - I used ommodu to change the country. Will wait for the u/g to 11 and see what happens then. :)
