Cannot log in to SAC from remote console (on local network)

I'm trying to log into SAC using a remote console, but my computer can't seem to find the computer. I may have a computer configuration issue. My network is connected to a firewall/VPN router (linksys BEFVP41). Apparently, the DNS is not working. I can log into the SAC fine from the local Scalix computer. So, it appears everything is working on the server itself.
