Hiding users from LDAP...

Postby vorlon2261 » Mon Feb 20, 2006 1:38 am

Guys,

Have had a look over the changes made to SAC for the new version. Thanks! They seem to all be quite useful.

One extension on an idea you put into SAC for 10.0.0, there is a check box for groups to hide them from LDAP. Any chance of there being a similar checkbox for users? Reason I ask is I use a couple of +BB interfaces, which are members of a group. I want people to mail the group so that all recipients get the email, however some send it to the +BB email address. I think the +REQ accounts also fit into that category, though they are not as much of an issue.

Hopefully you guys will consider this for a future release...

Thanks!

Actually, the checkbox is on the users tab as well. Now, it isn't available for Internet Users because the nature of Internet Users is that they are Contacts which are to be seen in the address book.

What you can do to hide them still is to set the flag manually using the ommodent command, use something like

Code: Select all

ommodent -e S=lastname/G=givenname -m EX-CDA-DIRECTORY=1
omexeccda

With the -e option, you have to specify enough parameters to make the selection unique.

However, please not that the SAC and command line options currently do not hide the entry in all places; they will disappear from the Outlook address book, though?

Cheers,
Florian.

You CAN hide ALL PDLs in the SWA. Add this to your swa.ldap.1.filter in /etc/opt/scalix/webmail/swa.properties:

(!(objectClass=scalixDistributionList))

Hope this helps.
