can't login to sac console

Postby jeff@aliashotels.com » Thu Jun 08, 2006 6:26 pm

hello

I can log into webmail with sxadmin proving that I am remembering the password.

if you look at the the omshowu stuff below, the bit in bold should be jeffstest with an s in the middle. at some point I've typed it in wrong. How do I change the user properties to have the correct authentication id?

If i try to log in with sxadmin@baldrick.jefftest.com ie with the correct authentication id but I guess the wrong fqdn it says the server didn't respond in time.

the fqdm is baldrick.jeffstest.com. the hosts file is right I think

# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost baldrick
192.168.5.2 baldrick scalix-default-mail

[root@baldrick ~]# omshowu -n admin
omshowu : [OM 8040] The user can't be found, or has been deleted.

[root@baldrick ~]# omshowu -n sxadmin
Authentication ID: sxadmin@baldrick.jefftest.com

I don't know how your supposed to do it but I uninstalled scalix and re-installed ( a surprisingly quick process) and made sure it was correct when it got to that bit.

I think I had the domain name wrong when I first installed scalix and then changed it after installation so the sxadmin user was wrong.
