Also, any new son what's in there?
Any fixes going to be integrated for some of the common workarounds that get implemented (blacklisting, option to include spamassassin etc)

well, final qa signoff is still t.b.d., but we're on track for sometime next week.
to see what fixes are included, one would go for our bugzilla and look for resolved/closed items targetted for the "Summertime" milestone, which is our dev codename.
in addition to that....
... support for ASP environments (requiring special/different license - if interested, please contact our sales team)
... updated community platform support (Fedora 7 replacing FC5 and OpenSUSE 10.2 replacing OpenSUSE 10.1)
.... way better support for ActiveSync 4.5 over USB with Windows Mobile
No changes in SpamAssassin, etc., integration yet, this is being worked on and part of one of the next ones.
One thing for certain - again the best Scalix 11 yet!

And very obviously also a statement that after some required restructuring as part of our acquisition, we're back in full production mode and cranking out new stuff without change of commitment to our key objectives and without structural change in platform support.....
Cheers,
Florian.

Thanks Florian, I'll take a look at the fixes and plan my upgrade. I'd skipped 11.1 - so hopefully the move straight to 11.2 wont be too painful. Planning to move off Suse anyway and onto something more standard.
Do you have stats from your reporting on the different distros being used - percentage split etc?

directly upgrading to 11.2 should not be a problem.
believe we're at a 60:40 split between redhat and suse, on both sides clear stronghold for the enterprise versions (rhel, sles) over the community versions (fedora, opensuse).
strongest in total is RHEL 4, although in the RedHat family I would now recommend going to RHEL 5 instead. On the SuSE side, SLES 10 is a clear winner and a solid performer.
Cheers,
Florian.

Why would reccommend going to RHEL5? Should I upgrade to that from 4?
RHEL Rocks.

No.
The person I was responsding to wanted to get away from some suse version. If going for a new RedHat install, I'd go for RHEL5; for existing ones, RHEL4 is just fine and I would not push for an upgrade. RHEL3 however we have started to eliminate from our list of supported OSs, i.e. 11.1 had it deprecated and 11.2 won't support it anymore.

Florians statement that 11.2 would be released this week has made me check this forum about twice a day :D
Great tactic for increasing your forum trafic, I can't wait! I used to be anxious for a new release because of some problem, but, 11.1 is so good, I only want to see what has been improved or added to. I am like a kid on Christmas morning, hurry, hurry, hurry.
Waiting impatiently,
The Dude

Thanks! I upgraded right away so I could come back and report.
11.2 is a hit!! Installed without a glitch from my 11.1 on RHEL4.
Now I can stop checking the forum all day :)

I have not received the official email from Scalix with the 11.2 download - I usually wait for that before going ahead and installing.
Looking forward to it ;p

Florian -
I have not received the email from Scalix. I just renewed my Scalix Software Subscription and has been paid for so I should be receiving these emails.
Can you check out why I did not?

We also didn't receive any emaill with the download link, username and password for the Enterprise edition. Our agreement lapses in February of next year.
Will check on Monday to see if it is in the junk folder.
Andrew.
