it appears that you haven't read your release notes.

It is now a separate download. The community edition download page and your download email as a commercial customer provide a separate .zip file link.

Is there any documentation on how to upgrade the community edition. I have downloaded the binary package, but would like some basic instructions to go on. Does the upgrade cause downtime? how long will the server be down?

On a default CE installation on RedHat, Fedora or SuSE, an upgrade from 11.2 to 11.3 causes about 10-15 minutes of downtime.

I just have 1 question. when the release notes say to "create a new profile" as they do below:

* When upgrading from Scalix 11.0.1, Scalix 11.0.2 or Scalix 11.0.2.1, you may need to create new profiles for some users using smart cache to benefit from all fixes in Scalix 11.3

Does that mean we should delete the user and create a new one, or is this referring to something else?

If you are upgrading Scalix Connect for Outlook to version 11.3 from any previous version of Scalix Connect for Outlook 11, there are several things to be aware of:

* When upgrading from Scalix 11.0.0 you should create new profiles for any clients using SmartCache to benefit from all fixes contained in Scalix 11.1
* When upgrading from Scalix 11.0.1, Scalix 11.0.2 or Scalix 11.0.2.1, you may need to create new profiles for some users using SmartCache to benefit from all fixes in Scalix 11.3
* When upgrading from Scalix 11.0.3 or later, there is no need to recreate Outook profiles or re-initialize the cache.

So profiles in this context are seen in the context of Outlook and Scalix Connect for Outlook, so we're talking about Outlook MAPI profiles here as created from within Outlook and/or the Mail control panel in Windows.

I am very glad to see in SWA: 15935: new mail not shown in SWA - we had a lot of users w/ that problem.

I plan on doing my upgrade early next week.

i finished upgrading, having some trouble with my customized tomcat rpm's. Scalix itself seems to be working seamlessly.
swa is loading amazingly fast

Our server is upgraded as well. No issues. It appears to reindex the messages, or else it's just a fluke that there was lots of indexing done as soon as the server was restarted. Otherwise, no problems.

SWA is al least twice as fast!!! Good work guys!

I must say that I've gotten a little over-confident with my scalix-updating habits, seeing as my test server only has two full-time users and I ran the upgrade mid-day. I'm happy to report that I still didn't get burned this time around.

I particulary appreciate the speed enhancements to the webmail interface. I haven't had a chance to test the CalDAV feature but so far this looks like a solid release. I've been running it for a few days now. Good job guys!
