Why is it so complicated to download the eval version.

I have some time at this moment to eval scalix again. and wanted to download it. I filled out the form and get the message instructions will be send in the next few days.

then i probably don't have time anymore. i need it know!

If you already have a copy of the eval version, the download instructions you received the first time will still be valid.

Or are you talking about the Community Edition ?

nope i am talking about the eval version. and i misplaced my download somewhere and opened the email recieved but the username and password where not vallid anymore.

in the mean while i have recieved a new login.

but my question is in general, why make downloading an evaluation version so complicated.

that people have to register ok, but that they have to wait a day before they can continue is not very handy.

There are two ways you can evaluate the Scalix software. The first is to download Community Edition, which now allows you up to 25 Enterprise users or, if you need an exception to this, you can request an evaluation license.

When you request an evaluation, our sales guys need to review the information to make sure that it's genuine and to see if you qualify for a download. After that, you should receive the mail with the download instructions.

If you are requesting an evaluation more than once, we need to capture the information to highlight this because you have exceptional circumstances above what the eval license covers which flags you as someone we should really talk to to understand your specific requirements.

Cheers

Dave
