Firefox 1.0.3 and Mozilla 1.7.7 incompatible with Scalix Web

A bug fix in Firefox 1.0.3 and Mozilla 1.7.7 browsers as detailed in the Mozilla Foundation Security Advisory 2005-41 (http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/mfsa2005-41.html) is preventing current releases of Scalix Web Access and some Firefox and Mozilla extentions from functionality properly. This fix has altered the behavior of some of the objects used by Scalix Web Access.

Scalix is actively working on addressing this issue and will make a new version of Scalix Web Access available as soon as possible. We currently expect this to be included in our next patch release due mid-May. In the mean time, Scalix Support strongly suggests that Scalix Web Access users refrain from upgrading to Firefox 1.0.3 and Mozilla 1.7.7 browsers.

The only workaround available once a user upgrades to Firefox 1.0.3 or Mozilla 1.7.7 is to re-intstall an earlier version of these browsers. Earlier versions of Firefox (1.0.2 and below) and Mozilla (1.7.6 and below) browsers do continue to function properly with Scalix Web Access and can be downloaded from the Mozilla Foundation's FTP site (e.g. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... ses/1.0.2/).
