PROBLEM: if you install scalix on SLES10 as a guest os using vmware, SLES10 tends to stuck while booting from DVD/CD.
SOLUTION: rip DVD/CD to iso image and let vmware server to mount it as a CD. You will get through the boot problem and the install will go much faster.
> dd if=/dev/dvd of=/mnt/sles10dvd.iso
