Where can i download the binary packages for Scalix 10, supporting OpenSUSE 10.0?

Seriously don't.

If you need a zero cost OS that'll work well with Scalix for the long term, use CentOS.

You'll regret anything else because the upgrades can suck badly.

Having said that, you'll find all the Binary Packages for the currently supported OSes here: http://www.scalix.com/community/downloads/

OpenSuSE 10.0 is old, so it's not supported any longer. This is what I'm referring to with the upgrade issues. If you currently run Scalix, and want to upgrade, you need to uninstall Scalix (keeping the message store), Upgrade the OS, then install the newer version of Scalix over top.

There's a very real possibility that you'll break the version of Postgres that you run, so just remove SIS and Cache data, and rebuild it after the install is complete following the upgrade.

Scalix 10 is old, and no longer supported. Think of it as Windows 2000. It's a good product, but it's been replaced. Scalix 11 is a worthwhile upgrade. If you need sx10 for a Disaster Recovery, or something like that, you'll need to request it from Support.

this statement is not true - for commercial editions, Scalix does support the current and previous major release, so Scalix 10 still *is* supported.

I think you can get the latest Scalix to work on SuSE 10.1.. its the same as SLES 10. And it was reported you can run under SuSE 10.2 releases that were intended for 10.1 so by all that logic yes it will work.

I would absolutely advise against a version of Scalix on a OS distro release that it hasn't been built for. This will typically result in minor library incompatibilities that are not noticed at first, however can lead to data corruption or process crashes somewhere down the road.

Please use one of the supported and tested platforms for each release of Scalix.

And do you know why SuSE 10.1 support was dropped in the latest release?

Sure I know, I was the one to decide to do it. ... because SuSE 10.3 was already coming up and enough people pushed us to go forward with at least 10.2. As said in the other thread, we can't support multiple evaluation/community distro versions of the same distro while keeping up our QA level....

We probably use about 20-30 OS libraries, you'll have to check the dependencies of the Scalix-Server RPM and/or do a ldd -v on each and every binary in /opt/scalix/lib and /opt/scalix/bin. However, even then it will remain untested and unsupported.
