Scalix & Outlook: No right to send in name of user

Postby zaphod » Thu Aug 30, 2007 3:34 am

Hi all,

we have a scalix 11 with the current outlook connector and an additional IMAP connector to a different server.

We are able to send "normal" emails. but in case we want do invite to a meeting, outlook says: "You have not the right to send in name of user". HAs anyone an idea how to solve this problem?

Kind regards, Thomas

Are you running an IMAP connection and a MAPI connection in Outlook in the same profile? If so, this will cause you issues, almost guaranteed. This combination is also not supported by Scalix at all. Strange, newer connectors forbid that combination as far as I can recall.

Try creating a new profile without the IMAP connector and retry the meeting invite. If that works, it is the interaction between the two message store providers causing you issues. We won't be able to help with that, as it is not a tested or certified combination.

However, if the meeting invite still doesn't work when you have created a new profile with only the MAPI provider in it, then we can look a bit deeper. In that case it may be something like delegation or similar causing issues.

OK. I found a solution: You have to define the order of connectors in the profile this way, that the scalix connector ist the first. If you do this, everithing is working without problems.

Thanx for your help.
