WHY is this not documented?

I think it has been said many times that Scalix will rewrite config files.

If you have paid support, you should have no problems getting immediate support.

Otherwise, it is a community-based support system.

I don't see any official release notes that state that.

Maybe scalix should provide adequate documentation. Due to the nature of our business we have our own IT staff. They can administer entire networks of linux machines, even Microsoft exchange. That's because there is documentation. If they don't understand something they are instructed to read the documentation and until now that never was an issue. Every once and a while they might ask me something and I'll point them to the admin guide or microsoft KB and they can understand with the instructions how to resolve it.

With Scalix I have been working with three others and we still cant figure out. It just play with the config and pray it works, no documentation thats any good can be found. IMPORTANT things like your sendmail.cf will be overwritten and modified (WHY did it change the sockfile location of amavis????) in the most random ways, documented? you bet not.

I understand you guys need to make money, maybe stop giving away your product first?

Sendmail.cf is regenerated from the mc file. This allows any customizations to be carried over after the build.
