11.1.0 Upgrade gone totally wrong

Ok Here'a a problem, upgrade to 11.1 from the previous version and everything is broken now.

EVERYTHING!


KevinAnderson said all my questions would be answered by the admin, guide. None are. First off whats catalina.properties? There is no mention of this or catalina in the admin guide.

Neither is:

mobile.properties (mentions the file exists, nothing more)
res.properties


It feels to me that Scalix is a collection of about 5 key servers (services). And there is a delicate balance between all of them that must be maintained, this balance is created by these configfiles. I am trying to fix it on my own, but there is no adequate documentation!

Is there any way I can get someone from scalix to answer the phone or call me? They seem to ignore people.

Did you get any indication to where "everything" is failing

I fixed it, Scalix changes the sendmail.cf (and actually a few more) without stating

Just to clarify was "Everything" broken, or just sendmail.cf ?

The fact that the upgrade may change sendmail.cf is mentioned in a couple of posts about peoples upgrade experience to 11.1.

This is the sort of thing you put inside a "Release notes" not in your FAQ.

grahamk, could you please share what had changed in the sendmail.cf config (and what others if any)? We're doing the update 11.0.4 -> 11.1.0 this weekend and I'm very curious to know everything that can go wrong...
