Probs with scalix11.0.4 installation and tomcat

Hi @ all !

So, this is my first posting here, so please be patience with me

Well, i tried to install Scalix as described in the Wiki for the Manual installation on a Debian 4.0 Etch ...
But when i start the installation script i get the following error ...

Richte scalix-postgres ein (11.0.4.25) ...
Starting scalix-postgres service (esel): ok

Starting scalix-postgres service (esel): ok


Richte scalix-tomcat-connector ein (11.0.4.25) ...

Richte scalix-tomcat ein (5.5.16-263) ...
Error: instance esel doesn't exist
invoke-rc.d: initscript scalix-tomcat, action "start" failed.


So, esel is my hostname ... esel.zuhause.xx is the full hostname of this virtual machine.

Before i spill out my thoughts about that, could anybody tell me what this message means ?

Yeah, i tried to use the search function and the knwoledge base but with no result, so for a deficient use of them i may apologize but please help me !

Hi,

Your instance names are configured in :
/etc/opt/scalix/instance.cfg

Mine contains :
OMNAME=crowley
OMHOSTNAME=crowley.uk.scalix.com
OMDATADIR=/var/opt/scalix/cy/s
OMAUTOSTART=TRUE

I'm guessing that you have an "OMNAME=esel" setting but the corresponding OMDATADIR directory does not?

But meanwhile i installed the 11.1.0 version on my system ...
So i shiped around this problem but i got a new one
