Installing 11.0.1 - More questions

I'm a beginner with Linux (and Scalix) and I'm looking for any guidance on the upgrading from 10.0.1 to 11.0.1. If you have any pointers, suggestion or things to look out for, I would greatly appreciate it.

this guide has a chapter on Upgrading Scalix at page#85.

I guess I was also looking for how to run the install. Is it as easy as unzipping the install download and running the executable? Are there many questions to answer? Does the install just run and we wait for it to finish?

Hi!

Several components have been added after 10.0.1, so while upgrading make sure you have
selected all components, also most of the answer that is required by the installer are set
by default and picked from the previous installation until there something specific, just try it
its simple mostly. The installation would be interactive, it would not just be run it and forget
it type .

Take a look into the installation guide and see the Upgrading guidance provided there.

Thank you for your comments. I ended up installing before I got your reply. The install went well. I mainly left the defaults and after answering all the questions, it appeared to take less than 15 minutes (message store is just under 65 GB).

I have had the issue of some users not being able to see email in folders (usually inbox, deleted items and sent items) - but thanks to the forums I have been able to resolve these issue.

As for the search capabilities..... I've been searching through the forums and haven't found the answers. It appears that it's not fully working. I have found that if it finds any results, they are only emails that have happened since the upgrade (June 13). I have stopped the indexer adn restarted it. Still have the same results. Suggestions?
