Due to a large amount of us using Debian, is anyone interested in working on an installer program,

We've all done a bunch of shell scripts to get things working, but I think us working on an actual installer would be a very useful project.

Deb packages could be stored on public server(s) and users would download the installer from ?? sourceforge ??

I am not that proficient in python, and looking for help from others that are....
